Camp Design Lead, Registered Landscape Architect
Greg has 40 years of experience working with non-profit organizations and public institutions, including over 450 camps nationwide. He is the founding member of our camp design team and is recognized as a national leader in the design and development of children’s camps, retreat centers and environmental education centers. Greg encourages a spirit of collaboration and communication throughout the planning process, which results in a solution that directly addresses the needs and interests of each client.
In 2011 Greg wrote his first book on the basics of camp design master planning. All proceeds of the book will be deposited into a special account by Domokur Architects to sponsor a campership on an annual basis in honor of his daughter Allison Copeland Levine. Jackie Kaminsky
Project Manager
Jackie brings a fresh, bright and enthusiastic attitude to each project. Trained as a landscape architect, she has a methodical and comprehensive approach. She guides projects to success by fully delving into challenges and carefully tailoring design solutions to meet the needs of each client. Her experience in Master Planning for many camps nationwide combined with exceptional graphic presentation skills and an extensive understanding of camp design consistently results in successful project delivery.
Melanie Spreen
Project Manager
Melanie joins us as a Project Architect working in our Brevard, North Carolina office. She is an architect and architectural historian, specializing in historic rehabilitation and adaptive re-use projects. She has also worked as a Historic Consultant for Historic Tax Credit Projects, National Register of Historic Places Nominations, and HABS Documentation Projects. Melanie is a determined individual who enjoys learning new things and is eager to apply her knowledge on some exciting new projects including an historic renovation project in Brevard.
Jessica Gaone
Project Architect
Jessica brings an essential level of understanding to the built environment of camps and retreat centers. She has been a leader in our office’s approach and integration of sustainability while serving as LEED coordinator on several projects. Her experience in camp architectural design combined with thorough knowledge of sustainable design principles results in carefully-crafted architectural solutions that sensitively relate to the unique landscape considerations of each camp. She has completed American Camp Association (ACA) Standards Visitor Courses and serves as an Associate Visitor for camp accreditation.
John Simpson
Technical Staff
John joins us near the start of his architecture career after several years in Athens, Ohio, and brings with him a vast amount of experience in summer camps. John has spent his past 5 summers working at camps in both The United States and France and has a great interest in camp design. As a University of North Carolina graduate, John will find himself right at home working in our Brevard office pursuing that passion.
